"From the Heart to the Page"

More paintings by Josephine Wall. Her link is on the left there. I've put a few things of Josephine's up before. There are some artist's that paint with love. She is one of these.
My "serious" artist friends always say,"...yes very pretty, but it says nothing". It please's me to tell them that it's because they're,..."not listening!" For more than 100 years kindly or sentimental art has been held in contempt by the western art world.
Whereas "installations" of torn up card board or buckets of dried shit are seriously discussed as if they were important "artistic statements". These are extreme, and perhaps unfair examples, but it's my blog, and I'll rant if I want to.
So you sentimentalist's out there paint till da cows come home! Remember,.."Nice is Spice!"
"Summer Solstice"

The Solstice is the time when the sun is at the height of its power. It is the longest day of the year, midsummer. This is the time when the gardens are producing fruits and vegetables of summer. Wildlife is flourishing and the trees are covered in green leaves.
However, it is also a time of transition. After Midsummer, the sun begins its yearly descent. The days will get shorter and shorter until the Winter Solstice when it begins its rise to power again.

Midsummer is also a time when it is said that fairies abound. They bring their playfulness and merriment, especially at Midsummer’s Eve. Shakespeare’s popular play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a story of the Queen of the Fairies Titania and her king Oberon, having a bit of fun at the expense of the mortals.
(As usual with important Holidaze I'm a few days late in mentioning them. I do beg your pardon. 'But then both you, and the Great Mother ought to be used to my spiritual sloppiness by now.)
ENJOY THE SUMMER!

Nora Plays the Piano!"
This sweetie pie, and her human pals have a link over on the right. Please go, and have a peek. I know you'll love it. Ya know it's just as we always suspected. When we're not looking cats are running the world.
When we're at class, working or asleep they're busy. When we're not around these little guys are writing trashy novels, screenplays for summer blockbusters, bad poetry, and junk food jingles for the radio.
In other words without cats there would be nothing to read, see or listen to. We owe them so much. Bless their devious hearts!

"A Faerie Dance"
This is a wonderful mix of music, and faerie art works. I really loved the song. I'm sure you will to!
