Gracie's "friend"

This kitty doll is the spitting image of my Gracie's tomcat "boyfriend!"

(Okay she's Black, but she ain't a Dollfie so don't start.)

Getting back to kitty matters,...naturally, and true to their nature the tom "banged" Gracie for a few days. Ate free food from me. When Gracie wanted to get serious the tomcat split!

Ain't see him since. Which leaves my dear cat Gracie in a spot. Anyone know how long kitty kat's are in a "family way" before the happy day?

This is further complicated by the fact that Gracie isn't exactly a house cat nor is she really mine or apparently anyone else's. Certainly not that Tom's

My sweetheart is an independent soul comes, and goes as she please's. Well her coming is mostly at breakfast, and evening supper time.

Anyway I think she may come back to the house when she's ready to have her babies. So we need to get ready,...I guess.

Suggestions? Other than boiling up some water that is.

Her pregnancy can last 58-70 days. I would leave water out for her at all times, dry food and have some wet food available for her when she comes around. I would get a box, put an old blanket in it, and if she gets use to it, then maybe keep it by the open front door and try to tease her into the house. I have had an outside cat come in and give birth under Danielle's bed. I've had a cat attempt to give birth on my lap. Another on Danielle's bed. My friend's first time pregnant cat killed her kittens. Most cats just do fine on their own. Good luck to you, love, Susan

Thanks Susan,

Gracie has been coming around more often lately. She sleeps on my front lawn. Actually now that the bush's are filling out she nests beneath them all cozy.

Gracie has become more affectionate as well. She never used to like being petted. Now she seems to like it fine.

I assume this is both her delicate condition, and that she's become used to be being close to me.

Yes I got a water bowl for her a while ago. It's starting to be warm all the time, and I want Gracie to have a regular supply of clean fresh water.

One thing though,..she just will not come into the house. Not during the blizzard nor now.

I think she wants to have her babies under our bush's. Good grief! What's an expectant Uncle to do?!

Loves ya!

Peace.

My congrats to mama Gracie and "step dad" Sidney! If I lived in N.Y. I'd glady adopt one of Gracie's graces.

Unfortunately I have no idea about how to raise mini-kittens but Susan gave you the right advice.

Now that Gracie has to eat for two (3,4,...) I'd be the more careful about the tuna can costume^^
